VISION: A thriving internationally known music industry hub grown out of the gifts and talents of the urban inner city underprivileged; giving rise to an increase of new and young entrepreneurship within the greater San Diego area.
Our Mission
To empower, mentor and develop urban inner city underserved youth and young adults into the next generation of music industry professionals; to celebrate the American art forms of Jazz and Gospel music, and be an advocate for military Veterans reentering civilian life and child hunger.

Education is enhanced by a disciplined and orderly environment. Those in our mentorship/internship program will reflect order in their appearance, as we expect kindness, politeness, respect, and self-discipline.
Excellence
Demonstrated academic achievement is a true basis for community leadership and gaining access to opportunity. Therefore any young person, regardless of their GPA, may participate in our mentorship/internship program, but we expect high standards of academic achievement and that their grade level will improve. We recruit outstanding professionals to instruct in their area of expertise and provide learning tools and resources of the highest quality, as well as encourage those who are in this program to seek to further their education at the college level, especially those who are in high school.

Developing the next generation of music industry professionals
Mandate Project Impact Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2014 as a nonprofit collaboration with M.A.N.D.AT.E. Records Inc., incorporated and registered in the state of California in 2014, and based in San Diego, California. M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records, Inc. has over 20 years of experience in developing music artists: providing artist management, music production, major event performance opportunities and bookings. M.A.N.D.A.T.E. has been a teaching label; teaching the music business to the young and old alike. The teaching and charitable arm has transitioned over to Mandate Project Impact Inc. Mentorship / Internship
MPI provides employment training and mentoring for at underserved young people who have a passion to be the next generation of music industry professionals, as well as addressing the “whole person” on healthy living & lifestyles. In so doing, MPI produces major music concerts loaded with benefits to the community, businesses and entrepreneurs as the interns gain real-life experience from conception through implementation and beyond. MPI seeks to address hunger as well, targeting the military Veterans and child populations through a portion of concert proceeds. The remainder of net goes back into the Mentorship / Internship Program as a social enterprise income stream.

How do I enroll in MPI’s Mentorship/Internship Program sessions?

May I intern even if spot is not available at the current time in the Mentorship/Internship Program Semester sessions?
Applications are considered for on-the-job experience internships working various areas in the studio and at major concerts and events. If you are interested in an EVENTS position, complete the online Internship Application on this website. Be sure to indicate on your application you are interested in EVENTS. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to discuss if an opportunity becomes available.
Am I automatically accepted once submitting my application for enrollment into the Mentorship/Internship Program?
Applications are reviewed considering space availability and best program fit. Applicants will be notified via Email if selected to interview, and then via Email if accepted into the program. Upon receipt of an offer of selection, the recipient must respond via Email within 3 days to confirm acceptance for placement to be finalized.
